"In each of us are places where we have never gone. Only by pressing the limits do you ever find them."

In Canada, it is estimated that between 17-23% of the population has used massage therapy. In Ontario, 35% of the population has used massage therapy in the past two years. Several research studies have illustrated that massage therapy is become accepted as a useful addition to conventional medical treatments.

Welcome

Welcome to my website! Here, I hope you will find how massage therapy and physical fitness can work together. What most people aren't aware of are the positive effects therapeutic massage has on the body and its healing abilities of overuse injuries and exercise recovery. Not only does massage therapy effect the soft tissues of the body such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments, it stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system, which runs parallel to the circulatory system, improving the elimination of metabolic waste throughout the body. Heavily exercised muscles may lose their capacity to relax, resulting in chronic tightness, and a loss of flexibility. Lack of flexibility is often linked to muscle soreness, and may predispose one to injuries, especially muscle pulls and tears and as a result blood flow through tight muscles may also be compromised, causing pain.

Feel free to browse my web pages to learn more about massage therapy and the many benefits of having treatment. You can also email me at gael@performance-massage.com
